The community is encouraged to think small and shop big on Small Business Saturday. Many downtown shops participate in this nationwide annual event. With our growing downtown retail options, shoppers will find gifts for everyone on their list.
Small Business Saturday was founded by American Express in 2010 as a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities. Nearly one in five businesses in the US are family-owned, and family-owned businesses are responsible for employing 60% of all workers in the country. That means when Ponca City residents shop locally they’re supporting their families, friends, neighbors, fellow church members and the community as a whole.
