(Box at 6th & Grand by Library)
Artist: Mindy LittleCook; Title: “Gears of Life”
Mindy is an Art Instructor for the Ponca City Public Schools and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art from Oklahoma State University. Her artwork is inspired by the world we live in. The pure keepers of the earth are represented by the dog, bird and fish; they are the gears that mesh to create harmony of the elements of land, air, and water. The droplets represent new growth cascading to replenish the earth. The bright, vibrant colors create a feeling of energy.

Artist: Chris LittleCook; Title: “Where’s Whit”
Chris works for the Ponca City Public Schools as the Indian Education Director & is a member of the Ponca Tribe. He also participates in his Ponca culture and is a member of the Ponca Hethuska.  This work is part of a larger piece developed around the fox character, Whit, who escaped from captivity and went on to be the patriarch of all red foxes around Ponca City. He is seen here hiding from coyotes; a skill they taught him.

(Box @ 4th & Grand)
Artist: Theresa Sacket; Title: “Curiosity”
Theresa is a teacher and artist.  This piece started as a collage of a watercolored hummingbird and flowers pieced onto a yellow watercolored background. Theresa went on to add this quote from author Elizabeth Gilbert:  “Curiosity only does one thing, and that is to give. And what it gives you are clues on the incredible scavenger hunt of your life.”  Theresa chose this quote because her life isn't driven by one defining passion but by lots of things that peek her interest and curiosity.
